Behind the screen
September is one of my favourite months of the year because with it comes a spectacular change of season. Spring has officially blossomed.
Spring is a magnificent season, flowers start to bloom, the days get longer and animals awaken. In the radiant spring sunshine, I could feel myself awaken too. I was hoping to hibernate through September as August had been such a busy month with Charlie and I jet setting overseas for a fun-filled tour of Los Angeles and Hawaii, but as soon as I smelt spring in the air, I found myself with a spring in my step – pun intended! Sorry I couldn’t help it.
Despite my longing to put myself out there yet again and push my boundaries, I thought the best way to recuperate after my busy August was to try and do as much as I could to be present and active, from the comfort of my couch.
Luckily, I have a lovely friend who is also a fellow author and a blog tour extraordinaire, who was willing to help me with my mission. My friend took the reins and coordinated a virtual book tour for Charlie’s Adventures…in South Africa. It was brilliant!
The blog tour was such a delight, it was a whirlwind, a flurry of activity. I found Charlie and I popping up everywhere and I hadn’t even changed out of my pyjamas. I had the most amazing time, sharing my story on various platforms and receiving wonderful book reviews of Charlie’s Adventures…in South Africa, from some of the best Children’s book review websites. I couldn’t have been happier! A huge thank you to my gorgeous friend.
September was a beautiful month. A month that has shown me a lot can still be achieved from sitting behind a computer screen and just writing!
