Welcome Post

I am delighted to be launching my new website and blog. It is such an exciting time! I hope you enjoy perusing my regular posts and keeping up with my writing projects. I hope my blog inspires you to venture into unchartered waters, travel far and wide and live each and every day with tenacity and wonder.

With my first post I would like to announce the arrival of my first children’s book! Charlie’s Adventures….in Hawaii will be released in the coming months. I will be providing regular updates on the development of the Charlie’s Adventures series in future posts, so I invite you to keep checking in.

If I have learnt anything from this experience with Charlie, it is that dreams do come true and always back yourself (a little notion my husband has shared with me that has now become one of my core beliefs). Charlie has been with me for many years. He is family to me. It has been an overwhelming experience to see him come to life in the pages of my first picture book.

I have always had an innate desire to write but for whatever reason I shied away from this aspiration. It was a very personal dream of mine to have a book published and to realise this dream I would have to challenge myself and move out of my comfort zone.

Becoming a parent shoved me out of my comfort zone. It caused me to evolve, question everything I thought I knew and I needed to “walk the walk”. How could I teach my beautiful girl to dream big and work hard for her dreams if I wouldn’t do it myself? With a touch of courage, a deep breath and my supporters (my family and some incredible friends) I moved out of the safe zone and into the unknown. Wow! What a wondrous place. Charlie and his adventures fell onto the pages of my manuscript and soon I was surrounded by a network of very talented, inspiring individuals who were willing to assist me fulfil my “audacious” dream.

Here I am now…so grateful…bringing Charlie to life has been a dream come true. I can’t wait to share him with you and most importantly my daughter, my family and those special friends who encouraged me continuously. Stay tuned….

To end I would like to say a big thank you – to the very talented Sophie Norsa for brining Charlie’s Adventures…in Hawaii to life through her beautiful illustrations. The team at Little Steps Publishing for their immense support and guidance. My family and friends, thank you for your belief and love. Ed Sheeran (yes, he played a part)…great ideas can come to light in the company of friends at his concerts.
