‘Tis the Season
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas has always been my favorite holiday. I love the magic that surrounds this season. The hope, the joy and the miracles Christmas brings makes it truly the most wonderful time of the year.
Our family has many Christmas traditions, from reading classic Christmas stories like the Jolly Christmas Postman, The Night Before Christmas and The Snowman, decorating the Christmas tree listening to the Mariah Carey Christmas album and dancing up a storm, baking Christmas cookies, watching the Santa Clause movies and exploring our neighborhood looking at the twinkling Christmas light displays.
The greatest gift Christmas brings is the opportunity to celebrate the holidays with those dearest to you. Spending time with family and friends during the Christmas period is precious and for me, it is the highlight of the season. It is also a time to reflect on friendships and acknowledge those we care about and who have made our year all the more fulfilling. The tradition of gift giving is a way to give back and express your thanks and gratitude to those around you. There is nothing more delightful and that nourishes your soul than gathering around a table sharing a wholesome Christmas meal. There are so many Christmas rituals that bring loved ones together and at their core radiate unity and harmony.
This month I have devoted to my family, friends and the splendor of Christmas. It has been a very special Christmas period this year, my two-year old daughter has started to understand the spirit of the season and we are about to embark on a family adventure to see out the year (all will be revealed in next months blog post). Being around Children during the Christmas period reminds you of the sincerity, jubilation and wonder of this special holiday. It also heightens the sense of adventure that this time of year brings. There are so many adventures to be had during the Christmas break and I am looking forward to see what’s in store for us.
It has been a memorable month to end a memorable year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have supported me this year. It has been a wonderful year with many highlights, lessons learned and dreams come true. I wish you all a magical and peaceful Christmas. I look forward to sharing more adventures with you in the New Year.
